GlobalMediaLab Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”) sets out below its privacy policy (this “Policy”) regarding the handling of user information in the website we operate (globalmedialab.tokyo), our game applications, and our other services (together, the “Services”).
We may collect personal information such as a name and email address when a user enters or sends information to us, for example through a contact form or by email. We do not ask users to enter personal information such as a name or address in order to use our game applications.
We use the personal information and usage information we collect to respond to enquiries, to provide information about our services, to operate and improve the Services, to prevent misuse, and for other purposes incidental to our business.
In order to provide and improve the Services and to guard against misuse, we may collect access logs (IP address, date and time of access, URLs viewed, browser and device type, and similar data). These logs do not contain information that identifies an individual, such as a name.
Play data in our game applications — scores, points, saved games and the like — is as a rule stored only on the device in use (for example, in the browser’s local storage) and is not sent to our servers.
To understand how the Services are used and to improve our content, the Services use Google Analytics, an analytics tool provided by Google LLC (“Google”). As a result, the following information is sent from the user’s device to Google.
• Information sent: an automatically generated identifier used to distinguish devices (a random code stored in a cookie or similar; it is not linked to a name or other identifying information), the date and time of access, the screens displayed, the name of the game selected and how long it was used, the IP address, the device and OS type, the screen size, the language setting, and the approximate region estimated from the IP address
• Recipient: Google LLC (United States; its servers may be located outside Japan)
• Purpose of use: analysis of how the Services are used, improvement of our content and usability, and planning of new content
Google’s handling of the information sent to it is governed by Google’s own terms (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Under the current specification of Google Analytics, IP addresses are used for processing and are not then retained on record.
We have not enabled the advertising features of Google Analytics (such as Google Signals), and we do not use the information we collect for advertising purposes.
If you do not wish this information to be sent, you may stop using the Services or contact us at the address in Section 10. Disabling cookies in your browser, or clearing the application’s data from your device settings, will also delete the identifier described above.
Except where required by law, we do not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user’s prior consent.
We may make joint use of the information collected through the Services (such as the access logs described in Section 3) as follows.
• Parties involved in the joint use: the Company, businesses involved in providing and selling the Services (such as cable television operators acting as resellers), and the developers of each game
• Purpose of use: provision and improvement of the Services, understanding of usage, and prevention of misuse

Information we collect may be processed and stored on servers located outside Japan. In such cases it is handled appropriately and in accordance with this Policy.
If a user requests disclosure, correction, or deletion of their own personal information, we will confirm their identity and respond within a reasonable period.
Except for matters otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to users. The revised privacy policy takes effect when it is posted on the Services.
